Glochidion - The names

 

This very large genus of over 350 species is little known. Whilst taxonomists argue as to which species is in, which is a recognized synonym, their common names will remain as few and far between. They probably will stay nameless in most languages, known only by their botanical names, for a very long time. Thirty species are known in China by their Chinese names but we have not found matches in other languages so far.
